AESC Mission Statement - Click here
The Association of Energy Service Companies (AESC) is the premier association of the energy service industry. The AESC mission is to promote the interests of members so that they may more efficiently manage their individual businesses.
In return, members gain satisfaction in knowing they are playing a vital role in the industry as part of a vast international network working together to educate governmental, legal and other industry-related entities. Additionally, members gain a valuable information source on industry issues and assistance in handling regulations, technology, safety, training and educational issues.
The AESC was established in 1956 as the Association of Oilwell Servicing Contractors (AOSC). Over the years, the industry and the association evolved to comprise more industry services and products. In 1996, the organization changed its name to the Association of Energy Service Companies in order to better reflect the interests of the total energy service industry.
For more than four decades, the AESC has operated through a network of national committees and local chapters, who address safety, technology, environmental, insurance, governmental, training and other issues of common concern. Today, the AESC is considered the premier trade association of the energy service industry. Since its beginnings, the AESC has provided assistance and information to members in the industry, including:
ユ Management and safety conferences ユ Meetings with government officials ユ Cooperation with industry organizations ユ Safety and training materials ユ Technology development ユ Notice of proposed regulations ユ Environmental compliance materials ユ Monitoring of the Federal Register ユ Newsletter, magazine and directory ユ Local and national meetings ユ Safety Statistics Program
